  • Details
The top of this Turtle Dove Cutter Quilt is circa 1930s-1940s, while the long-arm quilting was done in the 1970s or 1980s. The turtle doves have been hand-embroidered and the applique is hand-stitched.

The back is white cotton while the binding is light pink cotton that has been machine stitched to the front and hand-stitched to the back. The cotton batting is very lightweight.

The quilt is largely intact and sturdy, but unfortunately many of the turtle doves have started to detach, there is some fabric deterioration and some of the embroidery stitches have come undone or are missing. The binding has also started to fray.

Due to the damage described above and visible in the photos, the quilt is in poor or cutter condition.

The quilt has been soaked and hung out to dry so it is clean, soft and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. It measures 62 inches by 80 inches. Shown on a queen-size bed.
