This Cotton Crazy Quilt, circa 1900, is very unusual in that in incorporates traditional patterns, including Four Patch, Nine Patch, a Broken Saw Blades block among many others, while also exuding the "crazy" with random shapes of other vintage fabrics. The back is white muslin as is the binding around the quilt. The batting is thin cotton and the quilting is by hand in diagonal lines.
It is in very good condition, with several issues related to its age, including a few tiny holes and a two spots where the fabric has frayed somewhat (see photos).
It is clean, very soft and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. It measures 74 inches by 79 inches. Shown on a queen-size bed.
