Antique Compass Quilt: Hand-Stitched Cottagecore Bedding (72x87")

This is a very colorful Compass Quilt with Ice Cream Cone Border, circa 1920-1930s. This is a pattern that requires expert piecing with its many curves and sharp points and it has been perfectly executed here. It has been hand-quilted in outlines of the piecework, including along the border where it has been double-outlined. It has been quilted in flowers in the white spaces between the compasses.

The back is a bright white cotton while the binding is bright pink and has been machine-stitched to both sides. The cotton batting is very lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent condition with some slight color transfer around one of the blue compasses.

The quilt measures 72 inches by 87 inches and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. Shown on a queen-size bed.
