Antique Grandmother's Flower Garden Quilt: Hand-Quilted Heirloom (70x86 inches)

This Grandmother's Flower Garden Antique Quilt is circa 1920-1930s and has been entirely hand-stitched and hand-quilted. It is made up of more than 1,000 hexagons that have been hand-stitched together and then quilted in outlines of each hexagon. The quilter has used "half-gardens" to square off all four sides.

The back is a white cotton that has been turned to the front and hand-stitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent condition with the only condition issue noted being some red color transfer to several hexagons in one flower garden (see last photo).

It is approximately 70 inches by 86 inches and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. Pictured on a queen-size bed.
