Antique Tulip Applique Quilt: Hand-Stitched (74x76 inches, 1932 Signed Quilt)

This Pot of Tulips Quilt is signed "Mrs. D.D. Fetterman" and dated 1932-1934. The applique is hand-stitched in very tiny stitches. The quilting outlines of the applique and - in the white areas - the quilting mimics the tulips in precise, tiny stitches. Along the four-sided border the quilting is in a geometric ribbon.

The back is white cotton while the binding is a bright red cotton that has been machine stitched to the front and hand-stitched to the back. The cotton batting is very lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent condition with some minor fraying of the binding.

The quilt measures 74 inches by 76 inches and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. Shown on a queen-size bed.
