This lovely quilt is a Federal Chain pattern, circa 1930-1940s, and has been quilted in dark pink thread to match the fabric. The quilting is in geometric patterns and diagonal lines. There is a four-sided double border which is also quilted in geometric patterns and twisted ropes.
The back is white cotton bordered on four sides by pink cotton which has been turned to the front and hand-stitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is light-to-medium weight.
The quilt is in excellent condition with small tan marks on one white block (see photos).
The quilt is clean and soft and measures 76 inches by 85 inches. From a smoke-free, pet-free home. Shown on a queen-size bed.
