This is a unique and very large Grandmother's Flower Garden Quilt, circa 1940s, with hand-quilting on half and, more recently, long-arm quilting on the remainder. It is made of more than 5,000 2-inch hexagons with half-flower gardens finishing off the top and bottom while the sides follow the jagged lines of the whole flower gardens. The hand-quilting is in outlines of the hexagons, while the long-arm quilting is in curlicues.
The back is white cotton while the binding is green cotton that has been machine stitched to the front and hand-stitched to the back.
The quilt is in excellent condition with no condition issues noted.
It is a king-size quilt measuring approximately 104 inches by 126 inches and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. Pictured on a queen-size bed.
