Antique Light and Dark Log Cabin Quilt: 1880s; Hand-Stitched; 71"x86"

This Light and Dark Log Cabin Quilt is circa 1880s, with a front entirely made of cotton, and a backing made of a rich mahogany brown chintz that is in beautiful condition. The quilting - which is outlines of the patchwork - can best be seen from the back.

The front fabrics have been turned to the back and hand-stitched to form a very narrow binding. The quilt does not appear to have any batting.
