Double Hearts Vintage Quilt; circa 1930s-1940s, Vintage quilt; handmade, hand-stitched quilt; cottagecore; 76" by 79"

This is a bright pink and yellow Double Heart Vintage Quilt, circa 1930s-1940s. The appliqued Double Hearts have been hand stitched and all of the quilting is by hand in wider stitching, with triple diagonals through the applique and diamonds throughout the rest of the body of the quilt. The pink and yellow borders are hand-quilted in a twisted rope design.

The back is a bright white cotton, while the binding is a bright pink cotton that has been machine-stitched to the back and hand-stitched to the front. The cotton batting is lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent vintage condition with the only condition issue found being two marks of about 1/16th of an inch on one pink applique that appear to be from a blue pen.

It is clean and soft and measures approximately 72 inches by 86 inches. It comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. Pictured on a queen-size bed.
