Basket Vintage Quilt with Sawtooth Border; Circa 1940s; vintage quilt; handmade quilt; pink and white quilt; hand quilted; 85" x 104"

This is a very large Basket Quilt with Sawtooth Border, circa 1940s. It is hand-quilted in a geometric pattern in the white areas and quilted in outlines of the patchwork baskets and Sawtooth Border.

The back is a white cotton, as is the binding which has been machine-stitched to the front and hand-stitched to the back. The batting appears to be a lightweight Cotton/Polyester blend.

The quilt is in very good condition, with uneven fading of the pink fabric and some yellowing of the white fabric. There are also several spots on the top with tiny tan/dark dots that did not come out with a soak (see photos).

This lovely quilt is clean and soft and measures 85 inches by 104 inches. From a smoke-free, pet-free home. Shown on a queen bed.
