Rare Pineapple Quilt with Chintz back, circa 1890-1900. The difficulty of piecing this quilt is the reason it is rare. Each piece of each block has a different shape/size, making this a very challenging pattern. The piecing of this quilt is exquisite. The quilting is also very fine and is in a diagonal pattern throughout the quilt.

The back is a yellow floral that has been turned to the front and hand-stitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is very lightweight.

It is approximately 76 inches by 84 inches and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. Pictured on a queen-size bed.
