Vintage Double Irish Chain Quilt with Patchwork Border; 1930-1940s; 82x92"

This lovely Double Irish Chain quilt is circa 1930s-40s and has been hand-quilted in diagonals through the patchwork and in a flower/geometric pattern in the blue-speckled patches. Much of the patchwork has also been hand-stitched. The alternating 9-patch and 4-patch border goes around all four sides.

The back is white cotton, as is the binding that has been hand-stitched to both sides. The cotton batting is lightweight.

It is in excellent vintage condition with several small seam separations within the patchwork.

This very soft, clean quilt measures 82 inches by 92 inches and is from a smoke-free, pet free home. It is shown on a queen size bed.
