Antique Double T Quilt: Hand-Quilted; 1890s (60x70")

This Double T Quilt, circa 1890s, has been hand-quilted in diamonds and in double lines through the patchwork. There is a green and red/maroon border on the top and bottom.

The back is off-white muslin while the front fabrics have been turned to the back and hand-stitched to form the binding. The cotton batting is medium-to-lightweight.

The quilt is in good antique condition with fraying of the binding and age-related color loss/fading of the fabrics. There is also some color transfer, especially of the red to the back muslin (see photos).

The quilt measures 60 inches by 70 inches and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. Shown on a queen-size bed.
