Vintage Signature Friendship Quilt: dated 1939 (64x82 inches)

This Signature/Friendship Quilt was embroidered with signatures and expertly assembled and hand-quilted by a church group in Missouri in 1939. The tiny hand-quilting is in twisted braids, diamonds and in outlines of the patchwork.

The back is a beautiful gauzy cotton Tree of Paradise pattern, while the binding is yellow cotton that has been machine stitched to both sides. The cotton batting is lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent condition with a binding that is beginning to fray.

This lovely quilt is clean and soft and measures 64 inches by 82 inches. From a smoke-free, pet-free home. Shown on a queen-size bed.
