Vintage Folk Art Quilt: 1940s; Handmade (67x82 inches)

This quilt is a unique piece of folk art from the 1940s. The quilter meticulously hand-embroidered and illustrated dozens of Bible verses and even whole Bible passages in her own handwriting. It has been hand-quilted in diamonds and double diagonal lines. The quilt has a four-sided pink border that is quilted in diamonds.

The back is white cotton while the pink border fabric has been turned to the back and hand-stitched in very tiny stitches to form the binding. The cotton batting is very lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent condition with no condition issues found.

The quilt is clean and soft and measures 67 inches by 82 inches. From a smoke-free, pet-free home. Shown on a queen-size bed.
