Shoo Fly Antique Quilt, circa 1890s, handmade quilt, hand quilted; vintage quilt; cottagecore

This Shoo Fly Antique Quilt is circa 1890s and is hand-quilted around the patchwork and in diagonals in the areas between the "shoo flies". It is quilted in a twisted rope pattern and in half-shells along the border.

The back is a tan plaid fabric, while the red print border on the front has been turned to the back and hand-stitched to form the binding. The batting is cotton and very lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent condition with one small spot on one square (see photos).

It is clean, soft and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. It measures 74 inches by 81 inches. Shown on a queen-size bed.
