Lotus Flower Antique Quilt, circa 1915, handmade, hand-stitched quilt, 76" x 96"

This Lotus Flower Applique Quilt, dated 1915, is meticulously appliqued and hand-quilted in impossibly tiny stitches. The quilting is in feathers and diamonds and in outlines of the applique. The green and white striped border goes around all four sides of the quilt.

The back is white cotton as is the narrow binding which has been machine stitched to the front and hand-stitched to the back. The cotton batting is very lightweight.

The quilt is in excellent condition, with the only condition issue noted being some age-related fading of the fabrics.

The quilt is approximately 76 inches by 96 inches and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. Pictured on a queen-size bed.
