This beautiful Blazing Star Quilt, circa 1920-1930s, has been beautifully pieced and entirely hand-quilted in tiny stitches. The quilting is in a repeating shell pattern throughout the quilt.
The back is white cotton, while the binding is a pink cotton that has been machine stitched to the back and hand-stitched to the front. The cotton batting is very lightweight.
The quilt is in excellent antique condition with some age-related fading of the fabrics and several very tiny, light tan dots - about size of a tip of a pen.
The quilt is approximately 62 inches by 75 inches and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. Pictured on a queen-size bed.
